THE THEME FOR 2022 IS 'GLOBAL HEALTH JUSTICE'

The competition is open to everyone, anywhere in the world. It is not necessary to be connected with a school or college.
All shortlisted entrants will be invited to a celebration event.
Winning poems will be published on this website.
Entries should be no longer than forty lines and be previously unpublished either in print or online.
Entries are limited to a maximum of two per person.
There are three categories - primary school, secondary school and adult. In each category, collective as well as individual entries are welcomed.
Entries must be digital, preferably in WORD. Handwritten poems are welcome, but must be emailed in scanned versions.
The judges' decisions are final.
The date of our gala celebration for the winners at the University of Leeds is not yet fixed but will be at the end of June, Covid permitting.
Include your name and school or home address only in the body of your email, with the titles of the poems. Address is leedspeacepoetry@gmx.co.uk
